Ballett

Ballet is a type of performance dance that originated during the Italian Renaissance in the 15th century and later developed into a concert dance form in France and Russia. It is now a widespread and highly technical dance form with its own vocabulary. Ballet has been influential worldwide and has defined the fundamental techniques used in many other dance genres and cultures. Different schools around the world have incorporated their own cultures. As a result, ballet has evolved in different ways. A distinction is made between classical ballet, romantic ballet, neoclassical ballet and contemporary ballet.
